Glass and Bottle

Suzy Frelinghuysen simplified a table, objects such as bottles, and a background into overlapping shapes. Inspired by European Modernists, Frelinghuysen often used collage to add texture to her compositions. Here, she cut and painted corrugated cardboard to make the white shapes on the table.
