State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now

The original State of the Art exhibition brought together 158 works by 102 artists from across the United States, selected through an unprecedented cross-country studio visit program. The landmark survey revealed the extraordinary diversity of contemporary American art — spanning painting, sculpture, video, installation, and performance — and affirmed Crystal Bridges' commitment to discovering and championing artists from every corner of the country.
