Changing Perspectives of Native Americans

Running for two years, this exhibition of 44 works traced the evolving representation of Native Americans in art from the early nineteenth century to the present. The exhibition challenged romantic and stereotypical portrayals by juxtaposing historical images with works by contemporary Native artists who assert their own narratives, challenging viewers to reconsider how Indigenous peoples have been seen and depicted in American visual culture.
